        Purchased Aircon unit 4 months ago. Aircon unit has now broken (inspection from Aircon engineer confirmed compressor is faulty). Contacted Aircon Direct and they asked for photos. Apparently having the hose "more than 30 degrees" voids the warranty - despite them selling a "recommend accessory" window air lock that literally has the hose at 90 degrees in the product photos. I have no idea how the hose can be less than 30 degrees to any standard window in the UK - they advised I take the castors off and raise the Aircon unit (despite the Aircon unit being labelled as "portable"). Read the rest of the reviews here, there's enough negative reviews to think twice before buying from these people. "Hassle free warranty" is an absolute joke.

        First unit arrived covered in oil, took two weeks to replace. Second unit lasted 3 months. Aircon Direct ignoring all emails and letters. Cheap Chinese units with the warranty covered by Aircon Direct, which means there is no warranty. Currently taking Aircon Direct through the courts. Avoid at all costs!
