Been here 3 times now and the food is always fantastic with massive portions. Their burger ideas of ingredient combinations are ingenuis, fantastic choice of decent ales, Ipa, pales and lager (although I'm not a lager drinker myself) had a lovely IPA with my burger. They change their beers up regularly too which is always a bonus to try something new. My fiancee had a Parmo for her meal which also looked very substantial, I tried it and that also tasted delicious. On top of all that the staff are lovely and the place has a real warm cosy charm to it. Definitely a place we will keep revisiting!

Great pub, lots of people, lots of tables for sitting and eating. Food is fine.

5 star Performance. Really! I can't recommend highly enough. Booked on a whim as a visitor to the area and could not be more impressed. The choice of drinks (and condition / choice of ales as a real ale drinker) and the delicious food along with the friendly service could not have been better. Yes there was a slight wait. But would you really want to rush perfection. Every pub should aspire to emulate the Mended Drum. As Arnie says "I'll be back"
