Weeton Show

This was our third visit to the show which we had thoroughly enjoyed in the past, but unfortunately on this occasion, felt that it was a bit lacking. There were not many heavy horses this year and the few there were, only paraded around one half of the ring. There were not the usual steam vehicles that attended previously but entries are unfortunately, something beyond your control, provided the classes are there. The show was, as usual, very well organized and our son confirmed that the fell race too, was no exception. All in all, a good day out, but a little variation on the main ring events would have, for our party, been welcomed. Whilst not wishing to sound too negative, this is merely our feedback and we appreciate all the hard work and devotion which goes in to organising an event such as this. Keep up your good work.

What a brilliant day out we had at the Weeton Show! I really enjoyed my first sup of Weeton Wiggle ale, while relaxing with the crackin' entertainment in the sunshine My wife was happily wondering round taking lots of pics of the horses and other animals, and picked up some nice goodies to take home. It's so nice to find a traditional well-run country show close to where we live - and we will definitely be back next year!!
