Crate Hire UK

Ordered crates to rent and boxes to buy, the boxes still not arrived after one week and its impossible to get any support after calling many times. Highly stressful and disappointing given these are needed for moving, wouldnt recommend the service to anyone

Disappointed. I've just got my phone bill and found they still use an 0845 number, so I have additional charges. I thought these were a thing of the past. No problems with the service but be aware you are not hiring the crates through them, they sub contract to a local firm. If I'd have know this I would have gone direct (and saved money on my phone bill)

Order two medium cardboard boxes - received on time, fair price and quickly. My issue however is how much plastic they were wrapped in, I mean literally metres and metres of thick black plastic. I'm all for recieving brand new items - but this is excessive guys? They are cardboard boxes, which are usually in transit not covered in metres of plastic so why deliver it that way? Just another tonne of plastic to the billion already out there is suppose...sigh. (Make it optional the plastic, save you and the planet a lot of hassle)

After ordering the crates for collection (easy enough) I found the place to collect them from in Birmingham to be a bit harder to find than I would have expected as it's under a different company name? Once located I was told to then collect from another unit. They had no idea I was coming either which speaks volumes. I had to extend the crate hire by a few days which was nice and easy to do online. I delivered the crates back on the date agreed. I have been emailed since and charged for extending the hire further! So I'm being charged for crated I no longer have?

Used Crate Hire for our office move and I'm very happy with their service. They advised me which crates to choose and in general made the whole process very smooth. No issues with delivery or collection. Highly recommend!
