Gilberdyke Cat's Hotel - Cattery Hull & East Yorkshire

Always a warm, friendly welcome from John when we bring Leo to him. I have no concerns that Leo is not being taken care of and feel John really really loves the pets he cares for. The accommodation is spotless, beautiful and you can tell a lot of effort and attention goes into making sure the cats have the best experience. Each separated space has a secure outdoor run, a radiator, and lots of indoor room for play, exercise and sleeping. As our cat does not have access outside at home, we know he probably loves being able to go outside and is secure. Leo is on different medications and John has never queried or mentioned giving him this was ever going to be a problem. I don't think I would take Leo anywhere else ever again - he just loves it here and would highly highly recommend to anyone considering booking.

Left my two cats Gem & Dakota here for 3 days. They were exceptionally well looked after and cared for. Will be using this as our first choice cattery. Would recommend to anyone with cats, they really care and even encourage you to bring bedding and favourite toys to help your cats feel calm. We ended up bringing one of our cats small cat tree as they regularly sleep in it and 0 judgement. The staff are really friendly and supportive. Would highly recommend! Just be careful with the satnav when arriving as it can sometimes take you the wrong way but they are really helpful and give directions when you first speak to them/ always on hand to help.

I used this Cattery having read reviews and visited pre-pandemic My cat has stayed in a previous Cattery with no issues. On all 3 visits my cat soiled his bedding on all 3 occasions (stays varying from 10 days to 18 days) I was presented with a bag of soiled bedding! On the last visit I was given soiled bedding and soiled toys! Apparently soiled from early on and so he was without his toys for most of his stay. Too shocked at the time to comment but on reflection, no interest in trying to resolve these issues. Compare and contrast with another local Cattery who took the time to get to know our cat, understand his issues. The result was a very happy cat, no soiling and extremely relieved and appreciative owners! As a caveat, Im sure if you have a cat without anxiety issues this Cattery is acceptable but to us it was not

Lovely home-from-home cattery. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, all with indoor and outdoor space, in a lovely peaceful setting. Jon takes really good care of the cats, is familiar with individual needs, and is always friendly and welcoming. We always feel very assured that our cat is safe, happy and well cared for.
