Gascoigne Halman

My experience with Gascoigne Halman was almost perfect, and no doubt due to the staff they employ. The landlord of my previous apartment was attempting to bully me into signing and back-dating a barely legal contract by refusing to give Gascoigne Halman a reference for me until I signed it. Regan at Gascoigne Halman advised me all throughout the situation and was incredibly helpful in getting a reference from the agents that I initially starting my tenancy through. Regan really went the extra mile for my girlfriend and I and we could not be more grateful.

Very poor experience several months ago with Gascoigne. I don't know if it was due to my partner and I being first-time buyers, or if it was just the influence of a poor seller, but we were gazumped and the total lack of professionalism and the pure run around from the team there has left a bitter taste in my mouth and given me a poor view of them. If you're first-time buyers I cannot recommend engaging with the Glossop branch at the very least. Buying with a nearby competitor we found the experience was 10 times better, with more updates, better information, and an increased amount of respect. *UPDATE* Okay since the manager has simply (and rather lazily) copied and pasted the de-escalation email he sent to us months ago (after we stated we wanted to make a formal complaint,) I will have to reaffirm some things. Speaking directly to you. Gascoigne and Halman failed us. You and your branch for lack of a better word failed us. You got us hyped about a house. You told us we were chosen, over the cash buyers because the seller was such a great guy. You then told us to get everything in order, rush around and get a solicitor, which we did despite going on holiday, and you did all this knowing we were first-time buyers. We updated you at every step and you were suspiciously quiet for weeks on end. It doesn't matter if you want to blame the market, or if you want to blame the seller. You have to take responsibility. As it was, you called us back months later asking if we were still interested, so I can only assume things didn't pan out with those cash buyers. I'm sure you have had some great experiences selling people's houses, but you completely messed up selling us the house in question. But it's okay because one of your competitor's next door decided to pick up the slack. You gave us a bad experience, and for the most part, I do believe it was part incompetence, but another part of me believes... well I won't throw conjecture. I hope you take this as a learning experience and don't fail the next excited couple looking for that first positive experience.

Our sale has just completed and highly recommend Gasgoine Halman Glossop. They were excellent, Chloe was always there at the end of the phone to help when needed. They did the viewings and were all very professional and returned feedback from the viewers. Thanks Chloe for all your hard work

Regan at the Glossop branch was very good in helping me secure a nice place to rent and live when relocating back from abroad. Great, thorough, and professional company. Highly recommended

We bought a property recently and Karen was super efficient and helpful. We are now renting it out through them also and Regan is managing it for us. We could not have done any of this without there amazing help. John Sweeton the branch manager has over seen the whole process with tremendous efficiency. We would not hesitate to recommend them .
