        commissioned a painting from Simon with views over the Peak District in memory of my mother. The painting was everything I wanted and much more. The colours are spectacular really encapsulating the beauty of the peaks. It was a delight to meet Simon who gave such good service and visit his gallery Maggie Thornton

        We have a beautiful picture of the Derbyshire Heather in full bloom which we absolutely adore. We were totally spoilt for choice- but Simon arranged for us to see different paintings in situ which was so helpful. Looking forward to going back to the studio again for our next purchase.         The painting I got from Simon is like having a new window in the room. It feels like I'm looking out at the sea, and the movement in the painting comes through when sitting looking at it. It keeps changing for me and hopefully will do so for a long time.

        We visited Simon's studio during the Derbyshire Open Arts weekend and loved the dark, stormy drama of his seascapes, particularly the Scottish ones. Also love the local, Peak District, landscapes highlighting the beautiful colours of the hills. Couldn't resist buying one of each so that we can enjoy them at home.
