" IF " This is the same bloke who runs the car sales of the same name my experience of him in the last two days was hysterical. We went looking for a school run type runabout, he had a Renault Mgane estate in and told me it was a local old fella who had it years and gave up driving so sold it to him. We look over it and he gives me a price for as it stands now (1450) basically just in so not valeted and needing a fair old scrape over the offside rear wheel arch needing sorting and resprayed and this finished price would be 1695. So I go home and do some research, I check all cars exactly the same within 200 miles on Autotrader and his was basically the most expensive one out of maybe 15 cars I found. A fair price would be around 1200/1400 IF it was 100% and correct. I went back today hoping we could come to a reasonable deal. My first question was about it's service history. He then tells me the car came from another dealer and the owner had died and his wife just wanted rid ? Funny YESTERDAY the story was different ? He then says he don't know it's history when I ask about timing belts . He then starts talking to me like I'm simple, I asked if he knew wether or not it had had a cambelt change, he said it didn't need one and the whole cambelt thing is not what people think ! Well fella even tho the car has only done 47,000 miles over 13 years it still NEEDS cambelt changes !!!! The manufacturer recommend every 4 years OR 50000 miles. This is due to the MATERIAL DETERIORATION OVER TIME, so really this car should have had at least THREE ! I'm at a loss as to how YOU THINK you know better than the people who made the car ? If he thinks it don't need one until 50,000 miles and the original one is fine after all those years he is completely dillusional. When I informed him I'm not stupid and actually know what I'm talking about he got the hump, changed his tune dramatically once he realised, I assume I'm not just another mug he could fob off and bulls**t I said don't take the P***, I don't have to buy this car and he then went even more odd, tapping me on the shoulder in a very patronising fashion and say off you go then ! He then simply walked away and back into the office ! What a bell end ! Is this how you treat customers ? Do you normally put your hands on the customer like that ? I always give folk the benefit of the doubt and try to make my own mind up and not just take other reviews as a judgement BUT the reviews on here about this place / guy all seem to nod towards the fact he is untrustworthy and you would be very foolish to buy a car from here. This is my own experience of him , he lied about the previous owner and where the car came from, he tried to bulls**t me about the cambelt , the car was at least 400/500 over priced. All said and done this man can be polite and warm when he thinks he will make a sale . I assume he made the price up when I pulled up in a Maserati so he assumed he could get a bit more out of it. But when searching questions were asked and he found he could not Blag me and I wasn't say a customer who wouldn't know any different he wasn't interested anymore . In my humble opinion this man is very untrustworthy. Funny thing is if had priced the car correctly and factored in the fact you would need to spend approx 300 on a cambelt change I would have bought the car. Unfortunately for him I'm not the customer he appears to want. I write this review and if he has anything he would like to discuss about I go over Wroxham now and again and would have absolutely no issues talking to him face to face. Maybe he could explain to me his bizarre behaviour ?
