So the following morning we went in to look around and bought some takeaway coffees and some of their homemade sausage rolls, Bakewell Tart and Raspberry and Almond cake to have for lunch later.
The business is family run, friendly and very welcoming. Dollie's has only recently opened at Ludham Bridge, having been established during lockdown and having moved premises a couple of times.
Dollie's primarily produces patisserie at the moment (April 2023) , bread and a savoury offering currently, although they hope to extend this to sandwiches and more later in the 2023 season.
We enjoyed our sausage rolls so much that we visited again on our way back to Stalham a few days later. The savoury option that day was Scotch eggs, so we got those, a sourdough loaf, brownie, strawberry Danish pastry crown, bread & butter pudding slice and a baked cheesecake, which seemed to have a coffee base.
This time we sat inside for coffee, making a fuss of the cute dog and speaking to the family who run the business before we left.
The family are super friendly and the young lady who does all the patisserie and baking is incredibly talented.
Looking forward to dropping in when I visit the Norfolk Broads again and see how the bakery and caf are developing.
