I train here and get a lot of cardio fitness and core strengthening from it. Training Muay Thai is a great way to improve your fitness, breathing, circulation; burn fat and build your strength and self-confidence all in a freindly atmosphere so can have a laugh doing it. There is no pressure to compete but can if I choose, or I can just enjoy the workout with other adults (both mixed adults and ladies only classes available most week nights) or with my children at the family class where we can all train together, with children only classes available most nights too. Steve who runs the club is involved with every class, either instructing or participating, he is a local fire man with a good family and community network around him. He is a former British and European Thai Boxing champion who has trained many times, fought and won in Thailand. He has a great rapport with all his students especially the children as he is always loaded with jokes and anecdotes which he tells throughout his classes. Facilities and equipment are great, loads of pass and workout equipment, free weights, punchbags, medicine balls, skipping ropes, tyres etc etc.. as well as training gear, bodyshields, gloves, shin and insteps, even a ring. He also has a shop in the gym where you can buy the equipment too, if you want to invest in your own. All in all this is great for any age and ability and a fun way to get fit or competition ready. I'm 40 and fit right in, as do my children (10 and 5 years).
