Extremely unprofessional. I queried a charge of 39 to investigate a flush valve, as that took 2 minutes and the plumber was already on the premises. But my query was ignored. The replacement valve, which cost 132 to replace and fit, didnt even fix the leak. 171 later, we were just told it might continue to leak but it seems to be the cistern itself. And it did continue to leak. For the gas safety check, I asked for a specific time so as not to disturb my daughters nap. Although they agreed, half an hour after that time, I phoned to double check the booking and was told that it wasnt a specific time but a window (which reminded me of the Basic Cable episode of South Park), and that according to the GPS, the plumber was en-route and 30m away. I then get a call from my wife to say the plumber has been parked outside for the past 5m on his phone. 25m later, he knocks on the door. I dont know if he was having lunch or just killing time. Needless to say, I was disappointed in both the tardiness and the blatant lie. More recently, my shower started leaking and I phoned to make an appointment, which I got for the next day. The plumber arrived under the impression that it was a shower enclosure. When I explained it was the shower itself, he told me Id have to replace the whole thing, took a photo of it and left. The quote I got was 240. Rather than paying this, I ordered a replacement from Amazon for 37 and fitted it myself in 15 minutes (including the time it took to watch the YouTube tutorial). But the worst part is I was still billed 39 for the call out (which was apparently reduced from 78 as a gesture of good will). If they knew they were going to replace the shower from the moment I called, they didnt need to visit the premises. For a second time, I queried this cost via the websites contact form and asked if, given the circumstances, the bill could be waived. I received no response but was emailed a 7 days overdue warning a week later. I replied asking if theyd received my query, and they apparently had not. When I restated my query in the email, the response was that the business has overheads and working for nothing isnt viable. I think ABC needs to improve their customer service level a great deal. Im guessing theres enough demand for their services that cheap tactics on new customers are more rewarding than building a long-term customer base, built on respect. I also dont want to work for nothing. I want to get value for the money I work for. On two occasions now, Ive paid for nothing. My advice for the team is to focus on communication, honesty, and integrity. Give me an accurate assessment of the situation, give me all the options (dont just assume like-for-like replacements), and respond in good time to my genuine concerns regarding cost, and in a professional manner. *additional comments since response from ABC* Re the toilet valve, the quote included a service, which I do not believe happened in the few minutes spent on the cistern. Contrary to the assertion that they were on site for only a short while, it was actually over an hour. That's exactly what I was quibbling: they were already on site for the other jobs, so why did a few minutes on this job cost an extra 39? Re the leaking shower, the investigation absolutely was not quoted for prior to arrival. If it had been, I would have spotted the mistake made, and perhaps a visit could have been spared (although I still doubt they would have handled it over the phone, as a site visit seems easy money). And this was not between 13 and 24 months ago, but this month. Lying seems to come all too easy to the owner. As I've already stated, I DID air my views and was met with silence and then derision. This company is run by a professional unprofessional, who even has the audacity to change my account name to: 'DO NOT ATTEND AT ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' (that's 62 exclamations - I was going to reduce my star rating by an equal number but as a gesture of good will, I've only reduced it by 1)

Fabulous emergency help when had toilet disaster. A perfect double gloved knight in a shiny van. Quick, efficient, gave advice and for a very reasonable price. Will definitely use again if the worst ever happens again and would totally recommend. Great job :D

A first class service that comes highly recommended. Aaron came up trumps where other plumbers had struggled to support our needs for a replacement cylinder for our unusual and antiquated heating system. His communication and professionalism was outstanding throughout. We now have a more economical system in place and a reliable plumber to call upon!
