Visited during bank holiday. Lovely atmosphere, food was excellent and they also had a really good value 3 course set menu . Visited previously and it has always been a great place but would like to point out that Lou's service was exceptional, extremely polite, accommodating and welcoming.

Dinner on a Saturday night, thankfully we had booked a table as the place was quite busy. Service was very good, our waitress offered advice on the steak I ordered, recommended medium rather than rare and I am glad I took her recommendation. Only fly in the ointment was the salad, 2 quarters of lettuce with a small handful of other vegetables and strips of bacon rather lacks imagination. Other than that a great meal.

Food was lovely and reasonably priced for the quality. Service was very slow drinks and between courses, not greeted at the door for a while even though 3 bar staff were just standing there chatting. I'd return as the food is great and likely just short staffed.
