        Had tourer caravan cover for years...this year I needed to claim as got caught in flash floods in France. Safeguard refused to pay/replace items in the awning as stated only awning itself is covered and its unsafe to leave things in awning anyway! Ridiculous, I had flood damage cover but apparently this only covers the caravan.

        Beware ! We applied and received via safeguard online our insurance and breakdown cover for our 1990 Hymer Motorhome . We broke down in the south of France on a motorway and subsequently found out we didnt have break down cover as our Motorhome was more than 20 years old ! Nowhere during the quote process or in the policy does it state our vehicle has no breakdown cover . In fact The quote actually confirms we have break down cover ! The predicament we were left in as a result was so stressful and had it not been for our own financial resources we would have been completely stranded ! Date of experience: November 01, 2022
