My examiner, Sarah. Thought it was appropriate to say I look like a convict in my license photo. I beg your pardon. Is it normal for examiners to make offensive, obscene and rude comments just before a driving test? Maybe this is a new rule they have added that I didnt know of. The test centre was alright nothing amazing or awful about it.

I had what I would like to describe as a very unlucky experience. I went into the test knowing that I had enough hours on the road to pass, even my driving instructor felt sure. The examiner I had, who I do not remember the name of, didn't even touch the scoring sheet she simply just let it in her lap the entire time and had her arms by her side. When we got to the maneuver (parallel park) as I positioned next to the car that I was reversing from I noticed that the road started to get busy, as we were holding up over six cars coming from different directions to the narrowness of the road I suggested to her that we should pull in and wait until it is safe to complete the maneuver as we hadn't really started it yet, to this she told me no that we will be doing it now. I did receive a fault in this area for being too far from the curb, which is fair. However, I will say that given I believed it was safe I would have done the maneuver perfectly. Secondly, she tried to fault me for not checking my mirrors on a roundabout, as it was the final roundabout and she described what I did I am very aware that I checked. I am a very cautious driver due to having previous experiences with reckless drivers, one thing I would never do is not check my mirrors. I remember checking at this roundabout all three mirrors, her phrasing was 'if someone was coming from the right, it would have been dangerous'. As said, I knew no one was coming as I did check. Finally, she lacked professionalism. Part way through my test a pigeon dropped in front of the car, and flew away quickly. She immediately told me of an experience where she failed someone for a similar situation, but when he stopped. Her tone mocked his beliefs that the pigeon was 'God's creation'. While I am not religious it is clear that laughing at this previous learner who she passed when she worked in Bradford, was extremely unprofessional. It showed a lack of sympathy and also a lack of test professionalism as you should not be telling a learner what would fail them when in a test. Overall, I have more issues with the test. Unfortunately it is a examiner versus a learner in a situation where she appeared to want to fail me from the start.

Had a great test experince today with Chris. Made me feel at ease from the start. Explained everything very well and had lots of useful advise when it came to managing nerves. Could not have asked for better!

How rude. The little old lady is so rude and has no manners. She thinks shes above us all. Asked a question mumbling it. When asked to repeat she said so you dont know what I am saying? Kept in tutting threw the rest and doing her hair. What a disgrace we pay good hard earned money for these tests. Not to be treated like an inmate. So disappointed with her actions and personally think she should leave and give her job to some younger caring person. Reminded me of the Margret Thatcher and her words. the aim of this government is to make everyone as miserable as possible
