Conserve Paintings

Absolutely delighted with the work Ali has carried out on a dirty, ripped, flaking oil painting which I inherited from my parents. The previous damage is invisible and the colours sing! I was a bit out of my comfort zone and had no idea what to expect process and price-wise, but Ali was really helpful from the first email enquiry and was happy to discuss options to keep costs down. I actually went for the more expensive option but I'm very glad I did.

Alison has brought new life into a picture of mine that was dirty. She also arranged for a framer to paint the frame which has lifted the picture and now looks superb in my living room. She was very helpful in helping to choose colours for the frame and was excellent at replying to emails. I can thoroughly recommend.

Ali provided a highly professional service. All work clearly itemised and explained. She understands that the paintings entrusted to her can mean much more than mere value to the owners, as was my case. The cleaning was astonishing, totally transformed the painting, making it as good as new And to meet Ali in person is a delight: she is a lovely, kind person. Alison has brought back to life an 1809 equestrian oil painting for us: revealing it from beneath the layers of grime, protecting it and repairing the stretcher and frame. All done with great empathy to the original work, which is now future-proofed and ready to do another 200+ years. Delighted - thank you.

My uncle had a painting restored recently and is extreamly happy with the results. Alison also recommended a frame restorer to bring the victorian oil painting back to its former glory. Would highly recommend her services.
