HBH Ellis Family in Horning Coming from Australia and meeting up with our very pregnant daughter in law & son for a weeks holiday. It was raining when we arrived and there were 2 swans and a goose floating on the front grass lawn. The parking area was also under water - I suppose we have to expect this on the Broads. The wildlife was a constant visitor and lovely. We mainly booked this property as it stated en suite and the WiFi [essential for our pregnant lady.] Unfortunately the en suite is so small, It is inside a small cupboard in the bedroom she could not get into the shower! WiFi and mobile reception is extremely spasmodic and unreliable with no signal most of the time.The position of Owlswick is great; a short walk into the village and a choice of pubs and cafes. We hired a boat for the day which was fantastic; local discount from Carole in the hire hut behind the house. The property itself is in need of some TLC, it's tired. The floors are uneven - so the cooker door will not open all the way as it catches on the floor [health and safety?]. The photos are very deceptive regarding space; showing space in lounge but the dining table is in reality pushed up against the wall and bedroom doors in order to take the photo! No towels or tea towels, a problem for us coming from Australia we had to buy them specially! Overall; A lovely area, friendly locals but I would not recommend Owlswick, there are plenty of other properties in the same vicinity.
