The Bull Hotel

Review of pub only , Went there for lunch today and I have to say the food was very bland and tasteless. I had a ribeye that was fairly small for 19.50 and was tough and flavourless. My wife and daughter had the hunters chicken and agian tough and flavourless even the bacon . My two sons had the steak and ale pie , but very little meat and my daughter in law has the belly pork which was over cooked , so all in all not a great meal . The plus was the young waitress was very good

We stayed in this hotel for one night and quite frankly I could not have done anymore. Although the owner and the staff are lovely and cant do enough for you the room we stayed in wasnt great. The bathroom light was that dim that when we had our shower we had no choice but to leave the door open so we could see. I also ended up having to sleep on top of the quilt due to the bed being so lumpy and uncomfortable causing me to have back ache and shoulder ache. When I went to the toilet in the bar area the door had such so much dirt and dust on the panel lips that you could see it hadnt been cleaned properly in a long time. This is an old beautiful building so floors that slope a little and uneven walls ect are to be admired but dirty rest rooms, dim lights and especially a bed thats so uncomfortable are all things that I would expect to be right.
