My mum went in for a weeks respite, the home was clean and staff were good. However, there wasn't much interaction between the staff and my mum. There is no entertainment and even the hairdressers were closed. It wasn't a nice experience for her and she couldn't wait to get home. Needless to say she won't be going back there again.

This a review regarding a phone call I made regarding availability of respite care for my mum. The woman who answered was far from polite, clearly anxious to be rid of my call. When I asked the question about availability of respite care, she told me there was 'no chance'. I didnt get chance to ask about a waiting last, or feel comfortable in doing so. This is not the Horbury I grew up in 50 years ago. I then spoke to another care home in the Wakefield area and the lady I spoke to was lovely and I felt safe and confident speaking to her about my mum's situation. I understand that staff are very busy, but a polite word goes a long way.

Business Watch
It's has recently come to the attention of Business Watch that members of the Inwood Residential Home staff are openly sharing negative posts concerning mothers needing help to support their children. Focusing mainly on free school meals and the views of Katie Hopkins. These posts are filled with statements that show absolutely zero sympathy for normal people. The exact people you will one day want to attract to your business as residents. Inwood Residential Home, as a service provider to those who are unable to care for themselves it surprises everyone involved at Business Watch that such views are being posted by your staff. Although this may not directly reflect the treatment or care given. we strongly feel these types of views should not be broadcasted on profiles that have direct links to Inwood Residential Home. We hope you take this into consideration to avoid anymore unwanted negative attention. Kind Regards, BUSINESS WATCH

I have worked in Inwood house since last October initially taking up the Project Manager post and then in December taking up the managers post. All staff offer exceptional care to our residents, they continue to work hard throughout these unprecedented times. I would like to thank all staff for their continued support. Its a beautiful home to work in and an exceptional company to work for.
