Ive been a carer for years and years and I have to say hook surgery are outstanding . I almost gave up care due to the lack of support from GPS making it almost impossible to do my job . However Ive had hope over the last few months since taking on a client who had just moved here and needed to be reg with hook . Not having a lot of dealings with this surgery and them not knowing me as a carer I thought it was going to be hard work to get everything done that needed to be done and quickly . Well the surgery couldnt have been more helpful . The reception is friendly nothing has been to much trouble . Got to see a doctor within a week . Doctor was lovely put all my requests as a carer in place .. and to top it off everything has been followed up and dealt with . Since then my client fell poorly and the surgery have gone out of their way to help . The Urgent community team are fantastic a small group of nurses etc that help support the ambulance service and doctors in avoiding hospital admissions . Within hours my client was seen and within less than a week all equipment including a hospital bed all delivered . Even coming back to check all is ok few days later . Wow is all I have to say and with so much support makes me want to stay in care a job I love so much and that Im good at . So Hook surgery .. thank you you have completely restored my faith in the NHS who are doing their very best every day to keep people safe and well x

On the 05/02/2023 I called 111 for my daughter. There been call back from doctor from Hook Surgery. He scheduled appointment at 11am on Sunday 5th February 2023. My husband went on this appointment with my daughter. My daughter, 2.5 years old have high fiver - 39.5 (started from Thursday 02/02/2023), she had tonsillitis (you can clearly see blisters on her tonsils) and she refusing meals and drinks. Doctor do not recognise tonsillitis. She said is virus infection and she don't need antibiotic. She sends her back to home. She didn't check her tonsils! The same day, few hours later I call 111 as my daughter become worse. She became sleepy and floppy, refuse to eat and drink. She been taken by ambulance to the hospital. Doctor from the hospital said she have tonsilitis and she should receive antibiotic. Doctor from your surgery put my daughters life in danger because she didn't recognise very obvious symptoms and left my daughter without treatment. She has lack of knowledge and she shouldn't be treating people. My daughter nearly dies because she didn't make a proper diagnosis.

Pointless, all they will offer you is a telephone application that if you call at 8am and willing to wait over 45 min on hold being 26 in the que. The the service is not fit for purpose. When you do get them on the phone they tell you to call 111 they then tell you to call your Dr. It a pointless exercise.
