Following the move of my mother in to Honiton Manor Nursing Home I would like to convey my appreciation to the Manager and staff. Every aspect of the move has been managed exceptionally well. Jayne, the manager, could not have been more helpful in answering our questions, giving us detailed advice on allowances we could claim for and generally putting our minds at rest. My mother has settled in very quickly and her accommodation is a proper home from home. The maintenance staff helped us collect and install furniture, televisions etc. Nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff are helpful, pleasant and welcoming. My mothers needs, care and comfort are well provided for. We really feel that we can relax in the knowledge that she is in safe, cheerful and competent hands. My mother is very happy with how she is treated, fed and looked after.

I received this from a family member. From the moment Dad entered The Manor we, as a family, felt much happier and confident that he was in very good and capable hands. The ambience was warm, friendly and - most important of all really caring. Entrusting a loved one to the hands of initial strangers is a difficult thing to do but we had no concerns whatsoever while Dad was with you. Dad expressed his own feelings to us by saying that the staff werent bossy (unlike his previous residency), that the food was lovely and that he was very happy there. His needs were met without demands or compromise and we know he felt comfortable, safe and at peace when he passed away. I think our only regret is that The Manor had no rooms available when we were first trying to find a home for him, which is of course beyond control, but on behalf of my Mum and our family, Id like to say thank you to Jayne and all the staff at The Manor for making his last few weeks the best that they could be.

Absolutely disgusted with the care that was given to my partners Mum, she was meant to be turned every two hours which didn't happen so had to push for this and she is only 63 and fully aware of what's happening even though she is very ill, they have not given her fluids and had to push them to give her more fluids and we had to insist she was taken to Hospital as she had a fever and was transferred to Honiton Hospital from Exeter who were disgusted with the Manors care, I really don't recommend anyone put a family member in this home as it is the most disorganised and disgusting care ever and my mother in law will not be returning there, one more thing we found is we hardly ever saw any staff but if you looked round the side of the house they were all sat outside smoking. There is also a couple of staff who have criminal records I know so how the hell are they allowed to look after are loved ones
