Wonderful church in this picturesque little village. Different architecture than normal and hidden away in this secluded spot. Shame it was not open.

This is such a lovely little church. Quite the most peaceful place to sit and think or indeed pray. 17th century rebuild. School of Wren. Norman tower. Lovely blue and white stucco. Check out the monuments especially the chubby cherub atop a pile of human bones. Very light inside. One of the few churches where heavy handed Victorian stained glass doesn't pitch the pace into gloomy darkness. If you go to ring. The treble sounds horrid. A rejected bell from a tower in Gloucestershire. No doubt taken to augment the ring to six on the cheap. The tenor is deep set and a swine to get off the balance. If you're not careful it sets as you ring then, well look at the last sentence. They're rickety but fabulous fun to ring.
