Marygate House

Just back from my first stay at Marygate House and I will most definitely be returning. The island itself is stunning, but Sam and Don add so much to the experience of visiting the island through the warmth of their welcome and hospitality. The food was wonderful - They were dealing with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free when I visited - and the accommodation was very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Marygate House is a warm welcoming and very comfortable environment in which to spend a few days in retreat.There is a small and very comprehensive library , a community room which is brilliantly equipped and our hosts ensured that everything possible was done for our comfort. As as well as spiritual sustenance our bodies were also superbly fed! Nothing was too much trouble and it was very hard to leave. I should willingly go back tomorrow!

I was recently at Marygate House for a self-led individual Mon-Fri retreat and it was the most wonderful experience. Don and Sam were incredibly welcoming and accomodating (they catered for my gluten free diet with ease). The space was clean and quiet, meals were delicious and Marygate House was an incredibly calm space from which to rest, reflect and explore the island. I have Long Covid and needed a break- mentally, physically and spiritually. I came back feeling rejuvenated and most grateful!

Beautiful week spent at holyisland. Don and Sam looked after us with wonderful meals. Marygate a very peaceful house. Regained my spiritual strength.
