Middle Piccadilly Rural Retreat

I stayed in Middle Piccadily twice. The first time I was overworked and Dominic helped me to recover with his home made smoothies. The secod time I just needed a break and I tasted his food. I loved it so much. I am coming again. :)

As an experienced complementary health practitioner, I am always seeking authentic places for rest and renewal with high quality treatments for me, Middle Piccadilly ticks all the boxes. Definitely more a retreat centre than a spa, Middle Piccadilly is run by Dominic and his family in a caring, unobtrusive way. Rooms are cosy and warm, accommodation is clean and comfortable and fresh, delicious vegetarian meals/juices are provided in abundance. Whilst the family are always around to answer any queries, you are left to your own devices at Middle Piccadilly. There are peaceful spaces to enjoy including a lovely old beamed lounge with books and a stunning wooden healing centre (The Starhouse) set in the grounds and used for yoga and meditation. Unhurried, high quality restorative treatments are offered at extra cost. There is a wide range to choose from including organic body wraps, holistic therapies and blissful deep tissue massages. Eliana (one of the founders of Middle Piccadilly) offers extraordinary shamanic healing treatments all in a very down to earth fashion. A lady of advanced years, Eliana is one of the most gifted, unassuming healers I have ever met. Exceptionally talented, she has a wealth of experience and is always available to chat with fascinating insights and humorous tales. Do not expect a team of receptionists on hand or a nail spa with prosecco. Do expect a small authentic retreat centre run with integrity and heart offering high quality, healing treatments set in the peaceful surroundings of the Dorset countryside.

Im six nights in to my stay here at Middle Piccadilly and want to leave a review while everything is completely fresh in my mind. My stay has been absolutely wonderful so far. Ive done a couple of retreats of this type in the UK before and Middle Piccadilly far surpasses the other places Ive been to. The most wonderful thing about this place are the staff, everyone is so friendly. The staff have done everything possible to make my stay comfortable and healing. I loved my shamanic session with Eliana, having worked with many shamans over the year this was one of the most beautiful and transformative sessions Ive ever had. I also have had a mud wrap which was completely divine and left me feeling renewed and relaxed. Dominic who runs the place is absolutely lovely. Im juice fasting so have yet to try out his famous food but Im looking forward to trying it before my stay is over. I feel completely supported through the juice fast and have found it so far more beneficial than others I have done. Dominic is extremely knowledgable and I feel in very safe expert hands. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is mineral water provided as well as the most divine smelling toiletries in the bathrooms. The Star House is an extraordinary structure on the grounds which you have access to for yoga and meditation - its a real privilege to have access to such a beautiful space to meditate while Im here. The grounds are beautiful and theres gorgeous countryside to walk in, its really a peaceful haven and completely unpretentious. This is definitely a hands-off retreat, I love that Ive been mostly left alone while Im here, I appreciate the space and havent felt at all lonely or bored. I thoroughly recommend Middle Piccadilly to anyone who wants a genuinely heart-cantered restorative retreat. Magical place, thank you.
