    I hired a 746 motorhome from Go Solent for four nights, for my first motorhome trip. Was a bit apprehensive about driving the vehicle, but after very comprehensive instructions on everything I needed to know, it was no problem-it was just like driving a panel van-taking extra care when turning and checking bridge heights. The motorhome was virtually brand new, like the rest of their fleet, and was perfectly clean on collection. These guys were so genuine and laid back-not trying to quibble about the gas or fuel on returning the vehicle, I took it back with extra diesel but less lpg-nothing was a problem. Cant recommend this company highly enough-trying to book again. 10/10. Thanks Go Solent-see you soon I hope.

    May 2022 7 nights hire. Several issues with the van concerning fresh water loss and running out of gas after two days. Tank had not been full as Fred had said. Subsequent waste of my holiday time finding LPG. (this is a pump to refill onboard tank, not the swap the canister version) Had been told it was available at most petrol stations. BEWARE, IT IS NOT!!! Other things - No real emergency number for Go Solent, answerphone only in or out of hours; no step provided; not enough cutlery / crockery; bathroom door handle broken (think it had been for some time); poor garden chairs. All these issues avoidable with adequate checking. However, these vans only make them money if on the road. Not enough time is given for rectifying faults until they become real problems. Wonder about engine servicing? On return discussed all with Mike / Simon. Asked to email them with full details with a view to some compensation. I did this on 1st June. No response. Resent on 25th. No response. Told them I was going to submit a negative post. Seems they don't care. What can I really do? Post this and hope that it is seen by enough people to just be made aware that as long as you don't have issues, all will be well. Shame really as the van was a 21 plate, modern electrics, mostly well equipped, good bed and seats, excellent fridge, good drive and fairly economical, and we had a good time away, but being totally new to motorhoming I think Go Solent could have been better and certainly responded to my emails.
