Meadowsweet Restaurant with Rooms

We've wanted to eat at Meadowsweet and it was well worth the wait. When we first looked through the menu we were a bit nonplussed... Oyster, pigeon, spring cabbage! But honestly ever morsel was delicious. Even the oyster (something we'd never order) was utterly fabulous. Pigeon (another one I'd normally give a miss) tasted wonderful with no hint of the iron taste you often get with pigeon, and it was cooked as a wellington with moist, yummy filling and crispy pastry. For me the absolute highlight was the finale of passionfruit souffl, very memorable. Service and wine flight were equally bang on the money. We'll go again for sure. Can't wait.

We had a lovely overnight stay at Meadowsweet. The taster menu was incredible along with the pre dinner stacks were amazing. The choice on wines to accompany the food was lovely and a good variety from many countries. The full Scottish breakfast served with haggis was really good. High recommend this place if your looking for that place as a real treat- it wont disappoint!
