The North Norfolk Fish Co

There was a fantastic array of fish on display obviously fresh and in tip top condition and the sizeable piece of cod loin we bought tasted wonderful served on a bed of San Marzano tomatoes and thyme I cooked later on. But my, it was a difficult shopping experience with the man and woman serving in the shop. Granted I was given a bag of ice wrapped around the fish I'd bought after I explained that we were going to be out all day (which was greatly appreciated), but my wife and I really didn't feel very valued despite our best efforts to engage with them both, it felt like we were pushing custard. So to that end you get 2 stars because no matter how good your product is it has to go hand in hand with good customer service.

Lovely fish but unfriendly welcome, the female that works there, her manner is borderline surly and she was very dismissive in her manner when we said we had travelled nearly 50 miles especially to shop there to find that they were shut! The website says 5pm but they had closed at 4pm,we arrived at 4.30pm and they made no effort to accommodate us or even apologise. Oh well, saved us about 100.

There is always an amazing array of fish which the owners are happy to prepare for you; just get there early so you don't miss out
