Fantastic venue This small cottage is ideal for one person or a couple. The location is excellent. 200 years from a late night well stocked co-op and 300 years from a very nice, warm and friendly pub, the Wooldale Arms. The fridge is stocked with bacon and eggs for breakfast, bread and milk are also provided, as well as a small bottle of wine and a bottle of beer. Nice touch. This cottage has everything you'll need for a few days stay or for longer. I stayed for a week. It was very cosy and comfortable. There's secure parking and it's a very quiet location. Everything you need is within a short drive. Holmfirth is 5 minutes by car, with bars and restaurants, art galleries, craft markets etc. Sara the host is very friendly and helpful, available for any assistance if needed, but otherwise leaves you to get on with your stay. Ample opportunity for the more adventurous who fancy a nice walk in the countryside. I loved this little cottage and will definitely be staying again, so thanks very much and see you next time.

This little cottage was a great find. There was everything you needed and more. We only stayed 3 nights but would have been happy to have stayed much longer. Its cosy and comfortable. We had butter, bread, eggs and milk left for us as well as a few other bits in the cupboards such as breakfast cereal, tea and coffee. There is a hairdryer, iron, towels and some toiletries. A great location for walking, trail running and cycling. Sara our host was friendly, helpful and approachable. I messaged her before we arrived to arrange a surprise birthday cake for my partner. And I was not disappointed the best fruit cake ever was left for me with candles. Even the enormous lightening bolt that took out all the power in the area for about 5 hours didn't put a dampner on our stay. I highly recommend this cosy, little cottage.
