A fantastic place to stay and, just possibly our favourite place in the UK. We are used to staying in quite swanky hotels and expensive private villas when travelling abroad, and similarly in the UK sometimes, but I found this treasure earlier in the year when we decided to stay over in Holmfirth after booking a music gig at the Picturedrome. It was the second time we have visited Holmfirth and this is a cosy 2-bed mid-terrace cottage, and the standard of the property is comparable with any high-end accommodation. The positioning is perfect and literally a minute from the centre of it all and a massive bonus is that there is off-road parking, plenty big enough for our SUV. This really is something special this close to the centre. You enter into a low ceiling kitchen which is just so welcoming and kitted out with all mod cons and beuatifully deisned and decorated. There is an aga, which can get hot, but just open the door and it immediately brings relief. When it's cold though it is extremely welcome. There is normally a lovely welcome pack of a few things and plenty of tea and coffee etc - Amy really has thought of everything. The fist floor lounge is our favourite area as it is so private and comy with a great TV, settee and views to the trees on the other side of the valley. We decided to stay in 1 night and just enjoy the comfort of it. The top floor has 2 decent size beds and, whilst there is limited hanging space for clothes, it is more than ample for a few days. The beds are very very comfortable. The first time we stayed it was quite loud on the Friday and Saturday, but this seems to have improved since the last time we came and the sound-proofing is good - there are even ear-plugs provided, just in case. Toiletries are provided in the bathroom where there is a stand-alone bath and a good shower overhead. It's cosy and more than practical for a few days and the decor is very good, as it is throughout the property. It looks and feels spotlessly clean, which isn't always the case in our experience. We would never look at anywhere else in the case of visiting Holmfirth and, if we couldn't get in, we would defer to a time when this is available. We're that pleased we are considering doing it for Christmas one year as the town will be magical. Im almost reluctant to share this gem of a cottage because its our best-kept secret! Amy is wonderful and deserves this beauty to have full occupancy. If youre lucky enough to have found this place, do not hesitate in booking!

Love Cottage is an absolute gem of a place. Located right in the heart of the quaint Last of the Summer Wine town of Holmfirth. This beautiful old cottage has been restored with so much love and attention to detail, retaining the centuries old features and using ingenious design solutions to add everything you need for a luxury home from home stay. Everything has been so carefully considered and each nook and cranny Utilised. Spotlessly clean and well maintained throughout. The light bright kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need, the expose brickwork and handmade cabinets make this a great place to hang out, socialise and drink wine. The cosy Aga and Yorkshire stone floors are a real plus point. The welcome pack which included fresh eggs and bread and a bottle of fizz were a really sweet touch. We particularly liked having the stable door open and watching the world go by. We were delighted to find that there was a private little picnic bench opposite the property which is a real sun trap in the evening. The main living area of the cottage is so tastefully decorated with large sofa and deep window seat and log burner. The third floor houses is two small but perfectly formed bedrooms with lovely linen and feather bedding and a really comfortable beds. The bathroom with its rolltop bath, exposed pipework and rainshower are stunning. The location of the cottage is perfect and with off-road parking its a fab base for exploring the local area. We loved the great choice of local restaurants bars and shops right on your doorstep. Cant wait to stay again! Thank you Charlotte, Darren Jasper & Hugo x

Beautiful and sensitively updated 3 storey cottage in the heart of Holmfirth. We could not have been warmer or more comfortable during our stay. Fully, fully equipped with all mod cons. Having a parking slot directly opposite the kitchen door was a boon for packing, unpacking and getting out on trips. My favourite thing was sitting at the kitchen table with the kitchen door top half open, listening to and watching the world of Holmfirth go by ....
