Apartment contained everything we needed and more. The basement apartment was beautifully styled with quality, contemporary furnishings, luxury toiletries, food basics and small outside area. Beautiful..clean..big enough for our needs..comfy bed.. They left refreshments to bridge the gap. Essential oil sprays..Luxurious body shop shower & hand gels.. Lastly, a beautiful view across the valley from the personal garden area..plenty of bird life hopping about the drystone walls. Very Special..thankyou x

Oh this place is awesome. I have nothing but praise and we've stayed in some fancy places in our time but this is charming as they come, read on and ill explain as best I can... I have only been here 2 days and 1 night so far and I'm glad we are, to the point leaving will be a shame. Building that we are in: Underground "bunker" style dwelling with all the mod cons you can think of from smart radiators with individual climate control to a red hot shower ... this place has everything, oven, hob, kettle, coffee machine, fridge with small freezer, fire, a humongous TV, WiFi everything you could need no matter the length of stay. Very clean and tidy indeed and myself and my wife and our 2 little kitties love it, it's not the biggest building in the world more like a very charming small bungalow oozing with character. They provide an information folder with all the information about the area which is extremely useful. Just a few points to note: The toilet makes a little noise when using the shower but it's only for a second whilst is builds up pressure (nothing to be concerned about at all its not even loud im just being honest), very slight road noise during the day but can't hear from the bedroom at all amd this street seems really quiet so havent heard much traffic to be honest, door entrance is down some steps but handrail is really sturdy and it gives it some real cute charm and there's ample lights outside so you can see on an evening. Grounds: Allocated parking space for 1 vehicle, external seating area with table and chairs with a lovely view of surrounding areas, and you can see for quite a distance. Location: Set halfway up a charming hill (one way) in a stunningly peaceful area with lovely people all happy to see a friendly face and exchange pleasantries with every passing person, a mini market/shop just at the top of said hill 2 minutes walk with all the general items needed, a pub a further 2 minutes further on, the local area is perfect for the avid walker or dog walker with set routes for the much loved areas of last of the summer wine. This area has a charm that makes you feel your in a movie it really does. Staff: This is where I think this place is perfect, I had the pleasure of meeting the world's most lovely house keeper ever, she is so unbelievably helpful, polite and all round brilliant, nothing was too much at all, she had so much information about local knowledge, kept me upto date with the weather (we had snow for a little bit which I was slightly worried about), even went out of her way to ensure we had milk, bread, coffee, eggs and was happy with everything she even said that she had spare kitty litter if required, now I wasn't lucky enough to meet the owners of this stunning place but from speaking to Sara briefly over messages I can see she is just as helpful and friendly as everyone around here, it's so refreshing to experience hospitality which makes you feel not only welcome but appreciated. I can honestly say this has been the most welcoming place I've ever stayed and after the last few weeks I've had this is exactly what me and my Wife needed. If you ever contemplate coming up this neck of the woods then please consider this place without a doubt that you will be nothing but happy and if theirs more of you and you need a bigger living area I believe they also have a larger cottage available on site. Trust me it's brilliant.
