The Modern Language School

The Modern language school offers a friendly organised and effective learning experience. My experience learning Spanish has always been very positive. Many different resources are used and there are always plenty of opportunities to engage in spanish conversation. The classes are offered simultaneously in a classroom setting and via zoom, so this make it possible to engage in lessons where ever you are. Lynne ,my Spanish teacher is calm patient organised and extremely competent, making the whole adult learning experience a pleasure.

Learning a second language had been on my to do list for a while. The Modern Language school has a great range of languages and levels. Beginners Spanish met all my expectations with a comfortable pace of learning. The option to join on line via zoom has been a bonus with Covid and its many challenges.I am very much looking forward to starting the third year with many of the people who signed up in year one. On a practical level the school has great facilities regarding refreshments, snacks etc which is sometimes needed!

I have been studying Spanish at the Modern Language School for eleven years. Lynne makes learning great fun and explains difficult bits so well, and has infinite patience if you don't get something! The other students are very friendly and I always come away from the class feeling good.

I have attended the Italian beginners class with Vicky since September 2021. I visited Venice in May 2022 and realised how my Italian skills had progressed as I felt confident conversing. Vicky always makes her classes enjoyable, informative and fun. The classes are small, friendly and informal. The school has excellent facilities also. I am looking forward to returning in September and to the next level.
