Embrace Doula

I heard about Bel after I had gone through a bit of a struggle with feeding my little boy. We were about 6 weeks into feeding and although I felt we had got over the hurdle and trying times I felt some support on the mental side of things would really help. Nobody really prepares you for the emotional side of things. And what a wonder her service is! I wish Id found her earlier. She really put me at ease talking through the journey me and my little boy had been on so far and providing reassurance, expert advice and some very useful tips. Ive now grown more confident in feeding, improved my thoughts about the difficult spells and am now aiming to continue feeding longer than I had anticipated previously. So glad I found her so I could stop sifting through the internet for help.

Bel is just great! I found her whilst in the midst of despair with breastfeeding my baby. We had already faced many challenges and I was at a loss of what to do. I went to one of her meet ups and she was so kind. She listened and allowed me to share my feelings in a safe and non-judgmental way. I knew I wanted to work more with her and arranged a home visit. Bel came within 48hrs of our first meeting and gave me back control. We set some goals and wrote affirmations as well as her doing some mindfulness with me. I have used these tools since when days are good and bad. She continued to support me for a further two weeks via WhatsApp and has shared our journey informally too since. All I can say is I wish Id found Bel whilst I was pregnant. If youre thinking about having a Doula or need some support dont hesitate to contact Bel.
