Outstanding results, totally professional throughout Paul was incredible to work with. He went above and far beyond our expectations before, during and after our wedding day. On the day he was calm and unobtrusive but managed to always have a view towards the final product, setting up shots naturally without interrupting the flow of the day at all. The photographs arrived in a beautiful presentation box and thoughtfully in two different resolutions to enable posting on social media. There was no up-selling or hidden costs which made budgeting far easier for us. We couldn't be happier with the photographs and can recommend Paul wholeheartedly

From start to finish Paul was professional, discrete and produced fantastic images for both our engagement shoot and wedding day. My husband absolutely hates having his photo taken, nonetheless Paul was able to create such a relaxed atmosphere on the engagement shoot meaning it felt like a walk out in the country with a friend - which comes through in the really gorgeous natural shots in the peak district. Come the wedding day, Paul was there from 8.30 till way into the dark (so probably at 10pm? who knows...) and not only captured so many precious moments of the day, but you can also really sense the atmosphere through the images. One thing that both Chris and I were astounded by, was how we didn't even really notice Paul was there - he was by no means in our or our guests faces, meaning a lot of the pictures were really natural/candid. I was impressed that Paul had taken time out prior to the wedding to scope the surrounding area to the reception, meaning he whisked us away for 15 minutes to take some portrait pictures in some top spots of the area. Paul was really accommodating and gave us advise on how many group shots/portraits to do - meaning a good balance between having a good selection of formal pictures, whilst not boring our guests whilst they were all taken. A week away to relax after the wedding and was welcomed back to beautifully presented parcel containing the digital copies of our photos, an impressive quick turn around. I cannot recommend Paul enough, I was hesitant to use a large amount of our budget on a photographer, but I wouldn't even think twice next time. The hours he puts in and images that are produced are worth so much more than he charges.

Having used ROAR services in both a Commercial and Personal capacity, I've learned a number of things; whilst we all think we can take a good photo, that there's a budding David Bailey inside each and everyone of us, just struggling to get out - we're totally wrong! It takes skill, dedication and lots (LOTS) of practice to take great pictures. You also need a great deal of calm and patience and Paul has that in spades, along with the ability to make his subject feel comfortable and at ease in any situation; that has nothing to do with the camera either, it's a personality trait and that's one of the things that lifts a photographer's work beyond the ordinary. Yet the one thing that struck me most working with ROAR, is that they so enjoy what they do; they love the art of taking photographs - and it really does show.
