I visited this place back in 2015 and I still recommend it people as something cool and different to do in London. It was truly wonderful and I really hope my review will help others decide to visit such a remarkable place that feels as though you are stepping in to a time capsule. This is the exact review I wrote back then in 2015 and I wanted to share it on Google. Marie and Rotimi were extremely accommodating as we arrive a little late. The actress playing Mrs Sambourne was brilliant, staying on character the whole time with a great sense of humour and quick to respond to questions thrown at her. Simply fantastic find.

Bought a Leighton-Sambourne bundle ticket for 20 and this was my first stop. Sambourne is not as popular as Leighton, so it was nice having the house practically to myself. The house is crammed full of furniture, knickknacks, pictures and artifacts which will make it really interesting to the antique aficionado. The house is kept dark so the pictures do not make it justice. There's was a very helpful lady upstairs that answered all my questions and did so with a smile. Yes, visit Sambourne, it would not take much of your time and it's the perfect prelude to Leighton.
