Jonathan helped me in my fare evasion case where I thought there was no hope. I had been to another solicitor before Jonathan and he told me that I had no hope and to just plead guilty. But then I contacted Jonathan and he was ready to get it sorted. In under a month I got a letter saying that my case wouldnt progress and I only got a warning. If you find yourself in a similar situation you should contact Jonathan immediately before anything else.

Having made half a dozen or so calls at very short notice to source a reputable defence solicitor to represent my son on a TfL fare evasion case, BSB solicitors were the first to act and respond to my enquiry. From a friendly initial conversation with Jim Skelsey, a senior partner with more than two decades of criminal defence experience, it quickly became apparent that BSB would be the best solicitors to assist us. Given the daunting situation we faced, Jim was empathetic, measured in his approach to teasing out the facts and always extremely responsive throughout the process, setting out approaches (with his advice) as how best to respond to the situation. BSB are very proud to have a strong track record of success in terms of avoiding prosecution for its clients for fare evasion. Jim was always open and honest in offering his views around the likely success of avoiding criminal prosecution and did manage our expectations accordingly. The representation itself was handled professionally as you would expect, meticulous in terms of its preparation, with no stone untuned such that it resulted in the very best possible case put forward with mitigating circumstances. We wanted a response from TfL sooner than the standard 4-6 weeks response times and Jim did chase after just two weeks. We received a reply a week after chasing TfL which involved responding to some further questions that required clarification. On that same day, this being Jim's last day before taking a week's annual leave, a zoom call was arranged at very short notice to draft a response which was the very last task before Jim left for vacation. Jim left matters in the capable hands of a colleague, Victoria who monitored the response from TfL in his absence and contacted us with the great news that our case for fare evasion was successful resulting in a formal warning. We are ever so thankful for Jim and the team for all their support in a process that lasted 4 weeks in total. BSB solicitors are simply value for money!! I would definitely use them again - although I hope that this will never be the case !!!
