Food was very average, we had the set menu. Most of the meats had the same flavouring. Starters were nice, really enjoyed the cabbage. Dessert was disappointing, very plain and tasteless. Enjoyed the colada cocktail. It was very filling, would recommend going once if youve never had Japanese BBQ. This was our first time and it was nice to try for the experience and to try new things but would not go back.

I usually go to kintan on great castle st so I thought Ill change it up and give the one on high holburn a go. Which was a big mistake. Our server was Sebastian. Poor customer service from him. Super pushy and rushy. First I tried to order a bottle of water but was told that if I did I was ONLY getting ONE glass. Which is shocking. Ive never heard of that from any restaurants before. Usually when you order a bottle of water you get the same amount of glasses as the people sitting at the table. Then we waited a good 10 mins to get our drinks. The food came before the drinks. When the food came it was completely wrong. Stuff that I didnt order kept coming and the things I did took over 40 mins to come. The only good customer service we got was from the gentlemen who was clearing our table. We were seated at the back and far from everyone. Which is fine because they were busy but our sever totally forgot about us. When I needed some thing that gentlemen would come right over and helped. The food wasnt that good either compared to the kintan on great castle. its night and day. No comparison at all. If you want Japanese bbq do yourself a favor and got to the one on great castle instead. The service there is always good.
