When I first found this place, I loved it! Had a really nice tranquil vibe. Thats what I loved about it. But then, weirdly, every time I went there, thered be an American young lady who would talk with staff at the top of her lungs. SO LOUDLY!! and shed stay there not giving a care to the other customers sitting round the corner. I had to listen to her talk about life problems for ages. The staff really should have ushered her along after half an hour of it. But it went on and on. She must spend a lot of time visiting this place, as she was there again when Ive visited at different times. Please if management read this, please control this American lady. Im sure you know who I mean!!

Overpriced and underdelivered. That's how I would best describe our experience at White Pine. We were in need of a late afternoon coffee, and a few nearby places, like Monmouth, were packed. White Pine, on the other hand, was thankfully less busy. Unfortunately, there was a reason for it. The overwhelming smell of perfume hits you on the way in, drowning any desire to eat in you might have had. Music blasts from the ceiling, if just to drive the point home. To top it all off, the room is confusingly packed with knick-knacks in the "Nordic style" so popular these days. Get your coffee and get moving! All could be forgiven if the coffee hit the right note. Unfortunately that too was a disappointment, tasting of cheap, over-roasted beans, likely a robusta blend. And before you know it, you're back on the packed streets of Covent Garden, with your wallet 4 lighter.
