Came here for a post-work dinner with some colleagues. I had booked in advance over the phone a week prior but were still given a table outside when I had insisted we have an indoor table. I let it slide as I didn't want to start an argument and the weather was somewhat passable for an early-May Tuesday evening. We were sat down and had very little time to view the menu before we were approached by the waiter to took our food and drinks order at once. At this point I knew this was a very quick turnaround kinda place which always frustrates me as I dislike being rushed when eating out. I'm not just paying for the food, I'm paying for the experience! We ordered some Cobra's, cold starters of the pork knuckle and shredded chicken and sweet and sour pork ribs. For the mains I ordered the Beef Biang Biang noodles and my colleagues ordered the Chicken Biang Biang noodle soup and Sweet & Sour chicken with Egg-Fried rice. The food arrived incredibly quickly and we hadn't even had the chance to finish our starters before the mains arrived. I personally would have preferred it if we had been given the time to finish our starters. The starters tasted great with my only gripe being that the pork knuckle and shredded chicken were overly drenched in oil which seemed unnecessary. Couldn't complain at the pork ribs. The Beef Biang Biang noodles were the star of the show. I'd never had this type of noodle before so was excited to try them and boy was I not dissappointed. The dish itself was simple containing the Biang Biang noodles which were flat, almost the width of a reel of old style camera film and were perfectly cooked - not too soft and not 'Al-Dente', just right! The noodled were tossed with a specially seasoned sauce with chunks of slow cooked beef and pak-choi. A very hearty and delicious meal. My colleagues has no complaints about their meals. The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is due to the rushed service. It's very off-putting! However, if you do happen to be in the neighbourhood and want something different from your usual anglicised Chinese affair, then try this!

We came here after a horrible experience at a restaurant nearby, and what a lucky strike. They made us wait just 5 min even though we had no reservation. The gentleman was so fast to accommodate us. Then the order started and he couldn't be more helpful. Although the place was extremely busy, he was still cheerful and attentive. We ordered amazing Xian food. And having been in that city myself, must say it was like eating their street food again. Everything arrived quickly, with incredible flavors. Finished with with typical fortune cookie. Overall a wonderful experience, both service and gastronomy wise. If you craving authentic Xi'an food, and want to be treated like an Emperor, do yourself a favor and go eat here.
