Bijou Beauty

Really disappointed by the recent experience with Bijou beauty. I was bought a voucher for my birthday and booked in the treatment. Karis @Bijou cancelled on the day, very short notice. Ive got 2 young children so finding time is hard, but managed to get booked back in - but the owner told me the voucher was now out of date (by 14 days) and the voucher now could not be used. Her excuse was its out of date on my computer system and theres nothing I can do - as a small business, I find this very hard to believe. I have used Bijou in the past and always had good experience of the salon and Karis, I know the set up is a one women band and I appreciate that she is super busy. However given my appointment was cancelled by her in the first instance I really would have expected a more personal approach and for her to honour the voucher, it is of course at her discretion and she cancelled my appointment. I have given Karis the opportunity to reply, however after one very short email, (computer says no!) she is now completely ignoring my emails. Really disappointed and sad at this experience and for my parents in law that have wasted their money Service: Pedicure

I've recently moved to Stow and visited Karis for the first time this week. She is an absolute pleasure to spend an hour with and she gave me the BEST gel manicure. She has incredible attention to detail and my hands and nails look the best they have in a long time. Thank you Karis!

Karis is such a friendly talented babe! an efficient and pretty painless wax, plus 10/10 chat. very non judgmental! also Karis still wears a mask and asks clients to do the same, so it feels very covid safe Ill be back!!

After a year I wanted to update my review. Karis has been continuing to do an absolutely fantastic job. There is no one who beats Karis in terms of waxing, nail care or facials. In terms of waxing, she is efficient and gets it all of quickly. For facials, it is hard to show with pictures what a good facialist can do for your skin as it is so subtle. The stress of the pandemic did a number on my skin and now Karis has helped me get it back to a better place. I have less breakouts, my skin feels more smooth and I am so relaxed after the facials that I feel I can take on anything (and thats after the extraction!). In terms of manicures, my nails look and feel great. Karis has been expanding into designs and I love feeling like there is art on my fingers. I've really enjoyed being able to find different designs to bring to Karis to try. When I want a design but am lacking ideas she comes up with awesome ideas for me. Overall I appreciate being able to get whatever suits the occasion whether its a simple regular manicure or a more intricate design for a special event. Thankful that a year and half later I am still getting everything I need - thank you Karis! Services: Pedicure, Manicure, Body waxing
