My friends took my to Rye House Power Station for my Birthday and it was GREATI've always wanted to go to Chernobyl so this is the next best thing... And only an hour from London! The sound of turbines humming and drowning out the birds, the big metal pylons towering menacingly over the trees, the fear of radiation poisoning all make for a thrilling day out. A hidden gem! We topped it off with a fab lunch at the Fish & Eels. Will return.
