Gorgeous toasted sandwich and coffee in the afternoon sun today. Thank you. Panatones very tempting will have to go back soon I think.

Piero's deli is one of the greatest Italian delis in Hertfordshire, prices are reasonable and the food is authentic. It's not very big but you can find anything you need, it's a small paradise for Italians! Unfortunately the owner is not very friendly and every time we went to his shop he made us feel like he was doing us a favour, he barely said good morning to us (we always had to greet him first) but then he was welcoming other customers with a huge smile on his face. Whilst living in the area, I visited this shop weekly and always left with several bags, I even took a taxi to get there when I didn't have a car! The last time I went to Piero's Deli I spent over 90 in chocolates and biscuits, after leaving the place I realised that I had forgotten to buy one small thing so I came back to the shop to get it. When I tried to pay 1.50 by card, I was informed that the minimum spend for a card payment was 5 and I had to buy something else. I told Piero that I had no cash on me and I didn't need anything else, he knew that I just bought several items from his shop and could see that I wasn't happy. Well I ended up buying some lemons for 3.50 in order to reach the 5 spend and pay by card. Great place but unfortunately their customer service needs to be improved.
