Breadbin Bakers

I get bread and cakes here quite regularly. You need to get there early for the best stuff as they often run out as they day goes on (particularly with baguettes, rolls and anything with cream). The prices make me chuckle - always odd amounts like 1.13p for a loaf and 93p for a belgian bun.

Went into the branch today and the service i recieved was excellent. The staff member walked me through all the great food options ahe had available and after tasting it i was very pleased how nice it tastes and the service was exceptional. Would highly recommend to all my friends and family to visit it.

Summary: Questionable hygiene & manners When walking past, especially in the afternoons, youd see the shop assistant sitting on the food counter playing with her phone. That and the limited selection made us give this shop a pass before. Also no face masks, etc. in sight. A week or two ago, my son and I got caught in a hailstorm. It arrived out of the blue and within seconds we were being pelted by cold ice. Little one was shouting Ow ow and I raced to get us into the nearest shelter. Unfortunately for us, it was this bakery with no other customers in sight. The shop assistant didnt even bother to ask how we were. Trying not to wear out this warm welcome, I bought a gingerbread man. She then told us we had to leave immediately. I just stared at her in surprise before asking if we could maybe please wait 2 minutes until the worst of the storm was over. She threw us out despite that. Some people have no compassion, manners or the knowledge of how to win a grateful customer.

Went specially to buy some hot cross buns (which I love). Ended up buying a dozen plus several other cakes. Yum. Very friendly staff too.
