The staff in Boots Opticians Hitchin are so so lovely. I always have such a great experience in their store! The personal care and attention makes you feel so welcomed and looked after. I would recommend Boots Opticians Hitchin a million times over x

Very impressed with the service, from initial eye test to choosing new spectacles. A calm, relaxed atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff made it an enjoyable experience.

The kind of customer service received here by my partner and I is what the UK needs to get back to in my opinion. What a pleasant change to be welcomed, acknowledged and helped (even though we didn't have an appointment) without it being a chore?! Professional but friendly. 5 stars from us, we would return in a heartbeat. Thank you.

By the looks of the rest of the reviews, I clearly dealt with someone having a bad day. I choose Boots opticians for the good customer service but they dont sell the designer glasses that I like so I get them elsewhere, clearly that was an issue with this woman I dealt with yesterday.(18/02) She was very rude to me. She came up to me whilst I was looking at the glasses and I asked can I just get my prescription please Her response was abrupt saying that I hadnt even looked at the glasses yet I explained that the glasses that I like they dont sell. She scoffed and said well its important to buy your glasses at the same place you have your eye test because they can make sure its accurate. I said I have glasses that I bought elsewhere and they told me it was the correct prescription? She stomped back to the till. She was saying something to the optician that I couldnt hear but the way her body language was, she was clearly annoyed by my decision. She asked what designer do you use? I replied Joules She scoffed AGAIN and said well where do they sell those? I said either online or at vision express She laughed and said so youre going to get our prescription and go right next door to buy your glasses She stuck a note in my prescription, not even in the correct place so it was all bent up when I opened it and I could barely read it saying its important for you to buy your glasses where you had your eye test. I fail to see why when they could give me the wrong prescription in my glasses without me knowing about it? I doubt they let you even check that in their machine so I see no difference. Plus I refuse to buy their ridiculously priced glasses when I can get them cheaper elsewhere. I very much doubt they get commission on every pair of glasses they sell. Also, they asked me before my appointment if I could wear a mask inside the premises. I was the only one wearing one apart from the staff and even then I had to put it below my nose to have my eyes tested so it was really pointless me wearing one.
