He is patient on those days where learning seems harder than others and easily able to pick up the pace when you're finding stuff easier to master. JP's knowledge of the history and development of what he teaches adds to the experience to create fulfilling and memorable lessons working on both skill and repertoire. Online lessons are supported by videos from which you can practice until your next lesson and in my experience JP is happy to suggest the direction that your lessons should take or to respond to requests. I highly recommend lessons with JP - you won't look back. JP can also provide you with top quality instruments and accessories through his shop and his well-organised workshops are a must. The best thing about buying instruments from JP is that he is skilled at playing all of them, so can offer real, first-hand advice on your purchases.

Been learning from and playing with JP for many years now, been a massive part of my drumming life - always great fun, can highly recommend attending his workshops if you get the chance. A great selection of kit for sale when the shop's open too!

I've used JP at JP percussion both for booking and attending workshops, and the purchase of specialist percussion supplies. JPs products are always great quality and he can provide great advice if youre not sure which items will work best for you (eg which type of beater for different styles). He is also a fantastic, patient teacher!
