We've recently purchased a house in Hitchin through Connells. They were very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process, and we would happily use their services again, but hopefully we won't move for a while now.

We cannot recommend the team at Connells enough! We were very impressed with the whole team from start to finish. We found them to be professional, friendly and driven to help us achieve our sale. Paul and Elise managed the viewings and stayed in constant contact liaising with all parties.While Jonathon went above and beyond keeping the chain intact and enabling us to exchange when our solicitor was being, shall we say un cooperative! We are very thankful we picked Connells as I am not sure we would have moved without them!

I was apprehensive regarding the stages involved in putting my old cottage up for sale. I received a warm welcome from the staff in Connell's branch in Hitchin. The viewing arrangements were sensitively handled and I always had generous notice time before arrivals. Paul had matched my practical limitations and found a buyer who could allow the time for my transactions to be spaced out. My hunt started for a home easier to clean and move about in. I had some severe disappointments after finding a suitable place only to have the selling agent not answering their phone or the website freezing at a critical stage. I sensed my bids would have received a better reception if I had been an investment buyer needing a mortgage. Jonathan helped me to interpret the responses I encountered and relate them to broader market conditions. I could not have overcome the setbacks without this sort of support. It was not matched by the lawyer I had engaged whose plodding inflexibility, grudging explanations and ill-conceived order of priorities dismantled the efforts of everyone to achieve a successful conclusion. Emily on the sales staff always evinced enthusiasm for her role and displayed skill and initiative in revising terms to meet changed conditions as buyers reacted to higher interest rates. My sale did not survive the tighter market but I shall not hesitate to place my house in the hands of Connells of Hitchin when conditions are brighter.
