It's a long overdue review but Aston microphones are a fantastic company who produce outstanding microphones. My reason for writing this review however isn't due to the amazing quality of the microphone (enough tech companies have already wrote far more coherent and informative reviews on that than I ever could) I am writing this because I had the dilemma of one day finding that when recording I was getting a strange static noise and was only happening when I used my Aston origin. I was very worried that I might be out of warranty and thought I needed to replace my microphone. I wrote to Aston and pleaded to send me a replacement as till then I had no issues with the microphone and loved its performance. James himself wrote to me back and said they would replace it no issue. It was only after I received the new microphone and bought a new interface that I discovered it was my focusrite interface causing a grounding issue and not the microphone, it was actually due to the microphone being so excellent and sensitive that it highlighted the issue that my others didn't. James was very helpful, I have had a couple interactions with him and his marketing manager since due to an issue on their website that I highlighted and they were always happy to speak and help and even sent me a free Aston badge for highlighting the problem. A really great company that produce the best microphones around regardless of the usual title "great value for money", that title I think cheapens the brand. They would still be good value microphones at a far far higher price. I love the inventive design, they finally made a microphone look as cool and sound as unique as owning a guitar (something I have yearned for as a singer for years). I look forward to hopefully getting my hands on the amazingly ingenuitive stealth soon and other products they release in the future.
