Not authentic but nice to see Korean 'style' in Hitchin for a change. run by Chinese owners (as common place outside of London nowadays). The ttobokki was not authentic, was a watery sauce with mushrooms in and packet rice cakes (Chinese style). Don't feel real Gojujang was used, only red pepper flakes. 'Korean style' chicken was more Chinese style again, very (sickly)sweet and sticky, hardly any meat and chewy. Kimchi was overly salty and did not taste fermented, was quite mushy and not crunchy at all (didn't taste fresh). Lacking shrimp taste also. Beef kimbap however was delicious and very filling. I would recommend next time saving your money and just going for this. Rice inside was warm and fresh and beef had a wonderful taste and sear. Crunchy vegetables and pickels inside. Shop is very tiny and hardly any room to sit. Better as a take out spot. Tables and floor wasn't super clean (hygiene rating on window was 3/5). Owner very pleasant and friendly. Would go again if in the area for their kimbap only. However if you are looking for authentic Korean food, it's definitely worth trekking to New Malden in South London instead! Vegetarian options: Vegetable dumplings available, ttobokki
