Studio Hanson

Janet at Studio Hanson was an absolute life saver for us when it came to doing a bedroom for my daughter to move into from her nursery. I am terrible at interior design - I'm not even sure what I like, I cant visualise how things come together, and my worst nightmare is sitting choosing paint colours or furnishings. I end up wasting money on things that dont go together, I end up changing after a year or just realise doesnt work in the room at all. I was determined to have a room for her that would last, be easily updated in future years and suited her as a person. Janet absolutely delivered on this and made the whole process so easy, I've never used a designer before but absolutely will come back to Janet for future room updates. Even with COVID lockdown meaning we couldnt meet in person for most of the process, I felt like she really understood what sort of thing my daughter would like, what wouldnt date, what would be easily maintained by us and what was practical but also beautiful. I'm also convinced she saved me money overall by choosing items that i would never have found!

Janet created two beautiful schemes for us: our family bathroom and a new en-suite for our guest bedroom. Our house is a (slow!) renovation project and neither room had been touched for decades. Janet listened to our requirements, understood my tastes instantly and produced two schemes that perfectly encapsulated our requirements. We are so delighted with the results. The magic of Studio Hanson is that I know I could never have dreamed up these schemes on my own and yet both rooms perfectly reflect who we are as a family in terms of both style and practicality. Janet was the perfect mix of warmth, enthusiasm and can-do attitude. We cannot recommend highly enough!

We have no hesitation in recommending Janet. She's great to work with and really understands what you want to achieve. We had some very basic ideas (and some challenging requirements) to improve a large sitting room. Thanks to Janet's vision, design skills and ability to source things, the room is everything we could have hoped for, with much better use of space, the grown-up but relaxed feel we wanted while staying sympathetic to the age of the house. We love it!.
