Popped in for a drink with my wife as we've just moved into the area checking out the local ale houses nice sized beer garden nit many people in as it was mid afternoon and mid week dog friendly so we'll walk into town on a nice Saturday afternoon and see how things are

I popped in today for a couple of pints after work with a colleague, what a pleasant surprise it was for Hindley, I know thats sounds condescending but generally in my experience Wigan pubs aint great. Im afraid, this pub however was very clean and tidy and they seem to keep a very decent pint at a reasonable price, granted I only had Strong Bow dark fruit which isnt hard to keep well. But they had some old fashioned 1950s music on which I found really quirky, and it had a nice atmosphere. I got to talking to one of the old regulars, what a throughly nice switched on fella he was too. Id definitely go in again. Just need a decent takeaway now and Im sorted. (Ive only been looking for 4 years!)
