Disgusting stop!!! So I came here for a peaceful break on my first weekend off in 2 1/2 months. I was terrorised by drunken people throughout the night, using my corridor where my room was situated as a social area, to then be awoken by multiple children using it as a racetrack from 7 am onwards. I then went to have breakfast at 9:10 to find out that Ive got to stand and queue for 20+ minutes for my food, so at that point I went to have a chat with the lady on the front desk just to be told that its very unfortunate that I booked on the weekend that they had a wedding in another function and theres nothing she can do about it no compensation no apology no care, absolutely disgusted in this place and my stop would not recommend it to anybody any time in the future! Noteworthy details: Full of drunken people and disrespectful children

I spend a nice spa break there but I was expecting a bit more. Arriving a bit early, I had to wait for the room to be ready. All their coffee (be it in the restaurant or the bar) is instant so I had hot chocolate instead. The prices did not reflect this since they charge as if they had a proper coffee machine. The room was nice, but despite there being 2 of us, they only provided 1 set of toiletries. The facilities were okay, however, the water in the swimming pool was quite cold, the "hot" shower was constantly changing from really cold to hot and the changing rooms should have been warmer as well. A huge disappointment was unfortunately the dinner. I had a starter pate with 3 triangles of white toast, and my main, pork belly was full of soggy fat and not much flavour, very little broccoli but the mash was okay. My friend had 2 sad fish cakes for a starter and chicken tikka for the main, which was just as if bought as a ready meal at Coop. She was very disappointed as she is a big curry fan but said that it was better at Wetherspoons. We were quite entertained when we saw the "wings" starter at the next table, it literally being 2 wings (for 8.5) and thanked our lucky stars we did not order that. Needless to say we decided against having a dessert and so our 2 course dinner came to about 28 per person not counting the drinks. Breakfast was a basic buffet; satisfying but not up to a 4* hotel standards in my opinion. Roughly, I got what I wanted but I will not be going back to this one.

The room we stayed in here was gorgeous! Really lovely bath and the bed was massive! Definitely recommend staying for this aspect. However, the food wasn't great. Mostly flavourless and seemed like microwave food. We had halloumi fries and calamari to start and the pork belly and fish and chips as our main. Not a great selection on the menu and the taste was poor.

Arrived due to over night stay with work, plenty of parking .... reception nice as walked in but chap on reception was bit abrupt with check in .... room big and really nice just took for ever to find it ... biggest downside ... hot water was at best luke warm so had to boil kettle to get hot water for shave .... MAJOR issue if you book a room here make sure you don't get 115/2 as every 5 to 10 min there is the sound of what can only be described as a boiler starting up outside .... so if you don't mind being up all night this is the room for you. .... no point in telling reception as all I got was "really sorry but can't move you" ....
