I would like to thank Bradley for all his help in sorting out our new Puma ST. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he certainly made the whole process easy

I came in to see Bradley to look for a new car. He was very friendly and attentive. Along with being a huge help in assisting me in trying to find a car that would be right for me. I would happily recommend him to my friends and family as well as anyone else that is interested in the market for a new vehicle.

My only issue with the two times I have chosen to take my ford Mondeo to Paynes for repair work, is that they openly and immediately inform the customers there is a 99 diagnostics charge to pay and it is not refundable even if the work is undertaken. But in both cases for me, I got a phone call from a receptionist, not a technician, asking me to make a choice as to what "might" fix the problem based on the fact that if then the work is done and the problem is not solved, I will have to pay for that work, because I made the choice. Ford should listen to my issues, then diagnose whats wrong and "tell me" what will fix that problem and stand by it, more so, when applying a 100 quid fee for just the diagnostics. In both cases, I did make the right choice as to what to try, and therefore I did get the vehicle repaired correctly and my issues resolved. But I know, if I had made the wrong choice of action, I would have either paid a considerably higher price to replace an item that didn't need changing or ended up paying for parts and labour that didn't solve the problem and still be faced with the bill plus having to "try" something else. So I almost feel lucky I made the right choices. But I had to pay a higher cost, being a ford dealership, than I would elsewhere. Just slightly prohibitive in the future if I need to find somewhere to figure out whats wrong with my car and how best to fix it. I end up leaning towards trying independent car repair garages first, that generalise, not specialise, which is a shame really. Remembering however, that in the end, I did get my problems fixed, both times and have had no recurring issues from that work. So I do know I could go back again as long as I remember the costs and that I may well have to choose myself what needs mending.

I recently purchased a Ford Focus Estate from Paynes. From the start I was greeted by Chantelle who arranged for me to test the drive the car and by that, I mean I was allowed to take it out for over an hour to make sure I was thoroughly happy with the potential purchase. There was no hard selling, in fact Chantelle went out of her way to try and offer me a deal on the car and made sure everything and I mean everything, was checked and sorted on the car before I picked it up. The service I have had from Paynes and in particular from Chantelle has been second to none and likewise the follow up service too. Having looked at a number of cars of the same type and spec at a couple of well known car 'supermarkets' where I dealt with sales personnel who didn't know the product they were trying to sell and the customer they were dealing with, then dealing with Chantelle was a breath of the proverbial fresh air ! If you're looking for a car then give Paynes a shout, great to deal with people who care and once again, massive thanks to Chantelle for just doing a great job.
